THE WEEK’S HORROR HEADLINES (18th-24th November 2014)

Not got time to trawl the web for all the top horror news of the last week? Well allow me to give you a bite-size breakdown of the all biggest nightmarish news!

1: STEPHEN KING'S THE STAND TO BE FOUR FILMS

The director of the much anticipated adaptation of Stephen King’s epic The Stand, well and truly blew fans's minds when he told Kevin Smith during a smodcast that the story will be told over a whopping FOUR films. With the Hunger Games and The Hobbit both proving that audiences are prepared to sit through hours of film if the story is good enough, I think Warner Brothers really have made a fantastic decision. The uncut version of the novel runs at over 1000 pages and is split into three sections: Captain Trips, On The Border and The Stand. There's plenty of material to play with.
If that’s not enough, director Josh Boone has also teased an a-list cast and even said he hopes to start filming early next year.
TOO.
MUCH.
EXCITEMENT!

2: SHINING MUSICAL PARODY REDRUM ON THE WAY

More King! It seems that next Halloween New York's theatregoers will get a chance to see a musical stage adaptation of The Shining! SAY WHAT?
The play looks to more closely follow the story of Stanley Kubrick’s film than King’s novel and, quiote frankly, sounds so bonkers I REALLY want to see it. Check out the production’s official facebook page here. They need to release some snippets of the soundtrack, pronto!

3: FIRST WOMAN IN BLACK: ANGEL OF DEATH IMAGES RELEASED

I liked the first Hammer Woman in Black. I'm a big fan of Susan Hill’s marvellous novel and really loved the ITV adaptation, so I was always going to be onboard. I thought that what the Daniel Radcliffe version did well, it did very well and that looks to be continued in the sequel, due out on 1st January 2015. Check out the pics below.

4: INSIDIOUS CHAPTER III IS A PREQUEL AND HOLDS A SURPRISE

Angus Sampson, one of the stars of the upcoming Insidious Chapter III has confirmed that the film IS a prequel and that his character, Tucker, has a surprise in store.
I liked the expanded, less annoying role, that Specs and Tucker were granted in the second chapter of the Insidious franchise, so consider me intrigued!Read the exclusive article at Nuke The Fridge here

5: HATCHET III GETS UK TV PREMIER

Do you like ridiculously gory, fun slasher films? Of course you do! So you'll no doubt be familiar with the awesome Hatchet trilogy.
And guess what? The final part of this epic slasherama has been given a UK TV premier date: 20th December on The Horror Channel. Mark it in your diary!

6: NEW THIS WEEK
